Research Technician
JOB DUTIES:
This position will assist in conducting projects to create and develop vaccines and vaccination methods for commercial purposes. The essential duties of this position include taking direction from supervisors to generate and properly document all scientific data on projects including cultivating cells and routine recombinant DNA techniques, and maintaining compliance with standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- B.S. or B.A. in a scientific field and a M.S. in a biomedical related field
- At least 2 years of experience in a biomedical research lab
- Strong communication skills; both orally and written
- Some computer experience
- Knowledge of general scientific techniques and ability to learn from others
- Experience working with mice are preferred

Scientist/Immunologist
JOB DUTIES:
The candidate will join a highly motivated team of scientists and associates engaged in vaccine development, including assay development. Assays include animal immunizations and in vitro cell-based bioassays, in which the potency of immune sera will be assessed and correlates of protection will be ascertained. The candidate will perform such assays in addition to taking a leadership role to ensure that the work of the team is performed within timelines and quality standards. The candidate will be responsible for processing data generated by such assays in compliance with quality standards of data storage, processing, and analyses. In addition, the candidate will be expected to consistently prepare high level scientific data presentations, publications, intellectual property and study reports. All work will be conducted in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and regulatory requirements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
The candidate will have an MS in Immunology or related field with 10-12 years experience, or a Ph.D. in Immunology or related field with at least 5 years laboratory procedures/data analysis of cell-based bioassays and ELISAs in a biopharmaceutical drug discovery/development environment. The candidate must have experience with supervising research associates and be proficient with tissue culture and cell-based assays. The candidate will have strong technical, communication (oral, written, listening), and computer (e.g., MS Excel, MS Word) skills, along with a good publication record. Excellent organizational ability and working well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment is required.
